My old apartment just burned

A year and a half ago, I moved from Tiburon, California, to Manhattan. Had I stayed in California, I would have most likely been living in this apartment, which just burned. The unit mentioned, 204, was actually my unit in the building. The local news reports that a faulty lighting fixture started the fire, which destroyed my old home and four other apartments, with damage that totalled $2 million.

I've been putting off getting renters insurance for a while, but I'm calling State Farm today. This is a little too close to home.
